1. Critically, over the past few days I have watched POTUS refer to his “handlers” and to those who have “instructed him what to say” or, if we are being specific, “instructed him as to which journalists he should allow to ask him questions at White House briefings”. It was tragic to see the leader of the free world being controlled by others and bent over the podium clutching his briefing notes, obviously in distress, as he listened to questions from the journalists there present.
  2. Further to paragraph 1 above, you will remember that in an earlier newsletter/insight I referred to the Stalinistic control prevalent in the Soviet Union that stretched even to tactical decisions in the combat arena. Well, last evening I was informed that POTUS himself ordered that access gates to Kabul airfield remain shut despite the proximity of the withdrawal deadline, thereby preventing distressed American citizens and Afghan allies from accessing that road to freedom. In doing so, he is reported to have overruled his most senior Military and State Department advisors.
  3. What is driving Biden’s decision-making processes and authoritarian dictates? Just days ago, he declared on public television that all his formal agencies and advisers had supported his decision to close Bagram air base. But a communication has now come to light in which the intelligence community advised POTUS firmly not to close Bagram and that if he did so, “the Taliban would overrun the country including Kabul in a matter of days rather than weeks or months”. It appears that he summarily ignored that advice and in doing so precipitated the chaos and horror that we now see before us.
  4. It is becoming clear that optics ruled his decision-making rather than the tenuous situation on the ground: he wished to be seen as the President who ended the Afghanistan Intervention on the 20th anniversary of 9/11. He has been adamant in sticking to his chosen timetable and at great cost in terms of blood and treasure.
  5. But were there other pressures that we have not been privy to?
  6. There may be a more sinister explanation behind his stubbornness and inept leadership. My thoughts below lay out what I hope you will be able to consider as a possibility/probability. Indeed, a single comment last evening from US Marine Corps Lieutenant-Colonel Oliver North mirrored the question that has been very much on my mind for some time and that I am about to ask: is POTUS being blackmailed? North suggested that the People’s Republic of China (PRC) could be behind such blackmail. Let us examine that thought.
  7. Joe Biden brought a lot of heavy baggage with him to the White House, the most critical and easily identifiable items of which are as follows.
    1. His own blackmail of the Ukrainian Government when he was Vice President – demanding that the Public Prosecutor investigating the Company providing Hunter Biden with large sums of money be sacked – or Ukraine would not get the $600 billion promised by the Administration. He boasted on television about the leading part he played in that matter.
    2. His use of Air Force One to take him and Hunter Biden to China where the PRC agreed to pay large sums of money into a new company being run by his son. I would suggest that the Chinese do not give away money freely unless they know that they can get a decent bang for their buck.
    3. The reported gift of $3 million to the Biden family from the Mayor of Moscow’s wife.
  8. My thoughts concerning the above are that POTUS clearly usurped his position as the Vice President, that he has fallen in with “a den of thieves”, is cornered and that now he and his administration has to bend to the will of the PRC – or the latter will publicly verify his actions described above as corrupt and criminal behaviour. They might also reveal who is providing the money for the purchase of Hunter Biden’s paintings which, I understand, can go for as much as $500,000 each. It sounds very much like a money-laundering scheme as part of “we shall scratch your back provided that you scratch ours”.
  9. You might ask why the PRC would wish Biden’s withdrawal from Afghanistan to be quite so ill-conceived and chaotic. If you do, then you will not have been monitoring the PRC’s continuing projection of political and diplomatic power on the global stage. As far as they are concerned, a self-induced disgrace and a lack of leadership in the attempted safe withdrawal of US citizens and allied personnel from Afghanistan is a scenario that they would have welcomed with open arms. Those in high places should certainly be asking what part did the PRC (or others) play in all this?
  10. The obvious distress, staggering illogicality of and stubborn adherence to POTUS’ recent decisions concerning the withdrawal from Kabul and Afghanistan does indeed pose the question, is the Commander-In-Chief of United States Armed Forces and his Administration being blackmailed?
  11. If not by the PRC, then by whom?
  12. Failure to “speak truth to power” within the United States is evident here.
  13. Some may be bamboozled by the hackneyed attempts of the President to blame any and everything including this chaos on his predecessor. But Trump’s arrangement with the Taliban was made with strict conditions. General Mark Milley, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff was privy to those conditions and negotiations in the Oval Office and he supported the initiative. One condition was that any attack by Taliban forces on US or Afghan Government forces would be met with an overwhelming response. When the Taliban attacked Afghan Army personnel, Trump immediately “bombed the hell out of them”, following which they behaved themselves – but only until the new President entered office.
  14. Trump’s “arrangement” for an orderly withdrawal from Afghanistan was entirely logical/workable and included the following.
    1. Bagram air base would remain open with essential combat air support for the Afghan Army continuing and with anti-terrorist missions by special force operatives being conducted.
    2. US citizens and allied supporters would be progressively withdrawn in orderly and safe fashion.
    3. Once those at risk had been evacuated, an excess of sensitive United States military equipment on the ground would be withdrawn or destroyed in situ.
    4. A lack of accord being reached between the Afghan Government and the Taliban would negate any further recognition of the “arrangement”, including a date for withdrawal.
  15. Biden’s reversal of the Trump withdrawal plan precipitated the current crisis and remains his sole responsibility. Sadly, General Milley has now changed his tune and supports the new President’s actions and decisions, as do many within the Administration who appear to be governed by wokery and optics rather than military common sense and loyalty to those who are being left behind.
  16. Heaven help them.

    Hi Sharkey
You provide an intriguing analysis. I tend to believe in “cock up” rather than “conspiracy”. I think you should give weight to domestic pressures within the USA that drove the decision making. The majority of US citizens (I think 63%) were in favour of the decision to withdraw and to end the never ending war. The focus of the President was more on his infrastructure budget and the need to garner favour with both Democrats and Republicans than with the detail of withdrawal. The failure to hold onto Bagram air base prevented an orderly retreat. It was ill considered to withdraw during the fighting season but the timing was set by his domestic agenda.

Hello Commander ‘Sharkey’. A very interesting hypothesis that sadly, will not stand up in court without corroborating evidence – and some, given the Biden bias within the Supreme Court.
What you are suggesting is a colossal conspiracy the likes of which the Western World has never seen. Surely, it would involve combined corruption within the US Secret Service, the CIA and the FBI along with the DoJ and the NSA, all of them ignoring or concealing, every nefarious event involving the Bidens?
A question re Chinese influence – How would Sleepy Joe receive his instructions from China? Via a controller? Such a person would have to be one who was known to the USSS staff and given ‘free gangway’ to the Oval Office. Are Oval Office meetings held in secret with no audio no video monitoring? Are visitors allowed into POTUS’ private quarters in private?
Outside of the Oval Office/Whitehouse both POTUS and VP are always closely protected by their SS agents. A person who could fit this MO as a controller, would be his own son, Hunter but he too, I suspect, is under constant protective surveillance and it would be difficult for him to hold “odd” meetings with strangers and Dad without someone in the security services knowing.
However, your suspicions are certainly relevant and completely justified.
Following the 2016 Presidential election which (pro-Brexit) Donald Trump won, there was a deliberate and concerted effort to dethrone the (anti-Establishment) new ‘C in C’ by the FBI and the CIA along with the DNC and MSM with Social Media billionaires included..
Trump’s complicity with Russia was one of the ridiculous charges thoroughly investigated. Ironic that the claims of malpractice made against President Trump were actually committed by the Bidens but nothing was done about those two, was it? Ditto the alleged Hunter Biden lap-top that was discovered in a repair shop and passed to the FBI to investigate. Nothing came of that either.
None of this actually sucks – it all stinks.
As I have no idea of how the security services operate in the USA, perhaps your colleague, Anthony Wells, may advise on the possibilities posed?
Meanwhile, many thanks for your very scary proposition and I hope you are wrong, this time. Otherwise…..
